Lynnemaree Patterson is a Registered Creative Arts Therapist working for Mauri Tui Tuia in Te Tai Tokerau.
She brings experience in the fields of social justice and sustainability. She has worked in primary ands econdary schools and in the tertiary sector as a Creative Arts Therapist, Multi-Cultural Advisor, Arts Lecturer and Community Health and Well-Being Educator.
Her work is process driven.
Her primary modality is the visual arts and she includes movement, poetry, storytelling, play and ever-evolving ways of exploring as the imagination is followed. She provides a safe environment, and a compassionate presence enabling what needs to unfold with tenderness and possibly some playful humour. She continues to be astounded by the insights and magic that occurs when the arts lead.
She feels a deep connection with Papatuanuku and the Earth’s relationship with well-being.
