Antonio Hernández Karam is an emerging Music Therapist working for Mauri Tui Tuia in Tāmaki Makarau.  He graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Music Studies and Jazz Performance. Antonio is currently in the final stage of completing his Master’s degree in Music Therapy at Victoria University of Wellington.

Antonio is a music educator with experience in early childhood education since 2016.  His work is strongly informed by a lifelong interest in ethnic music and indigenous instruments from different cultures. He believes deeply in the power of music as a sensitive and meaningful tool to support wellbeing, connection, and healing through life’s challenges and transitions.
